About PIRP

Policy and Institutional Research Project, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that seeks to understand international development, improve policy and institutional design, and provides the educational opportunity for students.

Policy and Institutional Research Project aims to better understand country development paths and improve policy and institution design. We achieve through building the international network, documenting policy changes and investigating institutional design evolvements.

 

Responsibilities

The Web Developer is a member of PIRP management team. The role is responsible for designing and modifying websites, and coding the website if needed, from layout to function. The web developer volunteer will contribute for visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. The Web Developer volunteer will perform tasks including:

  • Bring UI designs from concept to implementation through prototyping and evaluation of design ideas

  • Implement project updates, new features, fix bugs, and participate in continuous improvement activities

  • Work closely with the management team to define feature specifications

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with Wix and Wordpress, or open to learning using Wix and Wordpress is required; BS in Computer Science or related field is preferred

  • Experience building web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred but not required

  • Conscientious team member and independent worker

  • Effectively communicates inside and outside of the management team
